Have You Heard of Sniffspot?

Looking for a new way to adventure with your dog? Maybe you have an anxious pup or one who is a bit more reactive. Sometimes, all it takes is one scary experience at a public dog park to make you hesitant to return. Today we wanted to share a potential solution with you called Sniffspot!

According to their website, “Sniffspot provides the best experiences and fun for you and your dog. Our dog parks are designed for the ultimate safe dog exercise. We provide distraction-free dog time - our safe, private spaces help you minimize distractions or triggers and maximize time with your dog. We provide off-leash enrichment - exploration and activities you can't get anywhere else; wear your dog out for days. We provide safe playdates. Socialize your pup in a controlled, private spot - it's great exercise, it's safe and it's fun for you and your dog.”

Sniffspot locations are across the country and some even include unique features like pools, ponds, park benches, etc. In addition to this, each location varies in size and fencing options- you know, in case you have a pup who is a selective listener, or a beagle who LOVES to follow their nose! Pricing varies depending on the host, but will usually be between $5-$15 per hour per dog. (And yes, you can become a host yourself if you've got the perfect backyard or land!)

Are Sniffspot dog parks safe? Their website answers this question by stating: “While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission, and general cleanliness - often as much an issue with the person in charge as with their dog - Sniffspot dog parks are much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private where the only park users are the dog owners and dogs they bring with them. Additionally, we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers).” With their reviewing system, you can read what fellow dog owners have to say about each location!
