Cooper (Coopy, Boop Boop, or Boopy) is the last remaining link his owner, Nasira, has to her grandfather. The pair have grown up together, and Cooper’s loving and cuddly personality has helped the high-school senior through a few rough patches.
Cooper was left with a fractured femur after being hit by a car, and with her single-parent household unable to contribute to his care, Nasira wasn’t left with many options.
Nasira - an incredibly hard-working National Honor Society student who works 30 hours a week all while earning her Associate’s degree – more than deserved a Compassion Animal Project grant but was still in “utter disbelief” that she had been approved. The best buds will soon return to grabbing pup cups and relaxing together after a long day.
