One Lucky Cat

Updated: Sep 19, 2023

Rosa thought the name Lucky was fitting for the malnourished cat she rescued from next door. What originally started out as a way to combat the “unlucky” black cat stereotype is now quite fitting for Compassion Animal Project’s next grant recipient.

Lucky, or Luckster as his family calls him, is a playful cat who loves chasing his laser toy and hunting Rosa around the house in a game she likes to call “Tom and Jerry”– I’m sure you can guess who’s who. A few weeks ago, Lucky could no longer urinate due to a blockage requiring surgery. The procedure and hospital stay were quite pricey, and Rosa struggled to be able to afford the treatment.

Upon learning Lucky was approved for a grant, Rosa cried and felt grateful that she and other families could get their pets the help they needed.
